So I am just squeaking in the woman of the month for February!! We still have not managed to any images to go with this piece so I have borrowed some from Jenni's website.
Inspired by the fabulous auction last night at the
Missoula Art Museum I am writing about a local artist.
Jennifer Fraser is an uber talented local artist here in Missoula. Her specialty is photographic montage, and in the past few years she has been playing with mixed mediums as mounting points for her works. I totally love every piece I see of hers - each piece is infused with love from Jenni's heart. You can feel her through her pieces. I am really wishing for one of her wood mounted pieces - they are gorgeous!
Jenni works out of her home studio - a place that she has created to inspire creativity! She calls this space Crayon Box studios - and the playful colors - each wall is different brightens your day - and her wonderful garden outside the studio windows is another source of inspiration. Even in the gray of February some of the dead heads of the glorious sunflowers of last summer were calling out for attention - they are beautiful even when sleeping - or frozen in state.
Jennie is a full time artist and also teaches at the
Rocky Mountain School of Photography. During the summer you will find Jenni every Saturday at the Farmers Artist market with her gorgeous art - stop by and visit! Buy yourself a piece of local art!
I am going to catch up with Jenni and her dogs and so later on there will be some Crackle images of this wonderful woman!
Its not too late for 2010 senior pictures! Meet Erin.
Erin spying on me with her camera.
Some indoor images.
Thanks Erin! Enjoy the rest of the year at Valley Christian.
Some images I took in Arizona of an engagement session I second, third or fourth manned on!
Envious of Allison the doors above and below are in her studio!
And yes it was sunny and there was sunset and it was warm!!! But now its sunny and glorious here and rumor has it it is raining in Phoenix!
Thanks Allison for having us all over! And thanks to these two for putting up with multiple photographers!
Waiting for baby Brock... I haven't dared call to see if the bubble has popped. Who wants to get another call asking!
This one is just to show off the new orange wall! Loving the maternity sessions - such a special, special time.
Have a great weekend everyone!
So while I am here in Phoenix, my friend the awesome
Allison Tyler Jones has arranged for a local friend of hers to come and see us and show us his personal project that has turned into a phenomena. It is called Reflections of Christ.
So
Mark Mabry kindly came and spent an hour showing us some of his amazing work. We also got a sneek peek at his next project on the Founding Fathers - look for that on PBS in October.
