The Final Image

Saturday, January 24, 2009   |   News
This is the first wedding season that we have decided to let unretouched images out to Brides and Grooms. I am extremely nervous about this. The camera image is a long way from being ready as a final Crackle Photography Custom Print. I have bowed to the pressure of the magazines and market but as I am explaining to all my clients there is a reason that you prefer our images to the one's Uncle Jim Bob took!

Below is an image straight from camera.

This is the Proof Image - the image has been color corrected and some contrast has been added to the image in a general way.

This image has been fully retouched, any skin blemishes have been removed, the image is burned and dodged to highlight important aspects, a slight vignette is added and local color adjustments made.

Below is the finished artwork - the retouched image is taken to a unique artistic level with special effects added to enhance it and create an original art piece. Effects used are dependent on the image, lighting and subject matter.

I hope this helps understand the difference between an unretouched file and the finished product that we create.

Have a great weekend!
